So I have only been here for one full day and I already know that I will love every second of it!!! My host mom is Karin and she has one of the coolest houses that I have ever seen. It was what me and my room mate, Erika, both think of when we think of a typical European city (more German than any where else but still). It is a place in the 19th district, Grinzing, which is a huge place that tourists who love wine go to. We have tried a white wine but it was still something to get use to. It was said to be a wine that was lighter than most so I kinda felt like a weeny. :/ But back to the important stuff!! She lives in a U shaped building. You have to open these HUGE, heavy , green doors in order to get into any of the places around a sort of walk way that goes down the middle. Our host mother, Karin, lives in a two story home that she works out of, she is a CPA, and she gives her friends workout sessions on Wednesday nights. She also goes for a two hour walk every Sunday morning, 10-Noon, up this hill that you can see all over Vienna. I and Erika were invited to go to both of them!!!!! We live in a town house type place across a little walk way with her daughter Shuba. It has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, one for her and one for us, a kitchen, and a little breakfast area. It is probably one of the most beautiful places I have seen yet. I put up a picture of the kitchen and the bedroom to give you all an idea of what it looks like but, I will post up a slide show including the whole area. Bis Später! |
