Oh mother-land, why could you not have given us better weather?
The first day we arrived in Germany, at 10:30 mind you, it was bright and sunny, really only bad thing was that it was windy. Which was good because, as we do on all trips, we got lost. Imagine that right? I really think that we just did not want to break the tradition of getting lost on every trip. LOL. But we found the Hostel, Easy Palace, and had ourselves some food before heading out to the main square to walk around. We saw the glockenspiel, Maximilion Pavilion and some beautiful churches. It was great because I got to just walk around and actually experience Munich.
That night Keri took us to the Hofbrauhaus. This is a local restaurant, I guess you could say. The up stairs, where we ate, was laid out in a similar fashion to any other restaurant. The down stairs is where the real German heritage comes out! It is a huge banquet hall with a bunch of long tables where you have to sit next people you don't nkow, waiters walk around with, NOT OVER EXAGGERATING, 8 pints filled to the brim with beer. The noise is amazing, as is the live German band in full liederhosen garb.
