Tomorrow I am leaving Vienna, Austria and going to be in Budapest, Hungry for three days! I am slightly freaking out as this whole trip came together rather rapidly and late. I mean we only just got the tickets for the train and hostel yesterday. But it has all come together and all 11 of the AHA students are coming along for the trip! We will be staying in two hostels, Ginkgo and Colors, in Budapest. It was really awesome though because for all 11 of us to stay there for 2 nights was only 13 euros a person! It was 40 euros for the train ticket and an extra 1 euro for a reserved seat for the round trip. Which was more than I was expecting but it all worked out in the end with the hostel being really cheap. I am sure that part of the cheaper hostel cost is the fact that it is the off season though. So I would not expect to get the same price during the summer.
I just feel so nervous about going though. Different country, different language, different money, different culture. The nice thing will be that Ute and Jill, her male partner, are going to be in Budapest Sat-Sun so if we need assistance right away we can call her. I think that after this little trip it will be awhile before I go anywhere else. I am not made of money after all and there is so much more to see here in Vienna. I mean Erika and I still have to explore our own district for crying out loud! We probably know the 1st district better than our own! But I am excited to go and see another place and experience all that Budapest has. Wish me luck!
Bis Später!
